About Middlemarch Fine Art

Middlemarch Fine Art is curated by Belinda Allen Agar who specialises in Modern British and mid to late twentieth-century artists, including those associated with St Ives and East Anglia. Her collection encompasses abstract and figurative paintings, works on paper, sculpture and original rare prints. These can be viewed at the Courtyard Gallery in Aldeburgh, Suffolk or by appointment in London.

Alongside her strong academic background in the arts and her successful career in the television industry with her company Middlemarch Films, Belinda Allen Agar BA MST has been collecting and selling Modern British art for the last 35 years.Inspired by her late parents Pat and Penny Allen’s esteemed collection of Modern and post war British, Austrailan and European art, Belinda’s own collection was born when she purchased her first Keith Vaughan aged 18. She now curates and sources a wide variety of high quality art works for her clients, with particular emphasis on Modern British and 20th Century artists. Belinda hopes to inspire others to enjoy living with art as much as she has done. Her collection can be seen at Art Fairs, at her Gallery in the seaside town of Aldeburgh, Suffolk or viewed by appointment in London. Belinda also set up and curates the Aldeburgh Art Fair.‍ ‍

For companies, we require company details including proof of incorporation, directors and the ultimate beneficial owners. For Agents and advisers, we require you to identify the ultimate buyer in addition to yourself. Payments will need to be received from a bank account held in the same name of the client named on the invoice and match the identity documents given. Any information provided will be held securely, confidentially  and processed in accordance with Global Data Protection Regulations.
